  10. exclusive tour of the most exciting Virtual Television Show ever! In 
  11. this preview you'll meet Lance Boyle, all-round good guy and 
  12. MegaHost of this wonderful show of the future. Together you'll 
  13. experience an introduction to one of the specially constructed Virtual 
  14. Speedways, and hear about the vicious punk speedgang that rules the 
  15. road. On top of that, we'll even let you climb into the MegaRace 
  16. Virtuality Suit and burn rubber in one of our exotic Enforcement 
  17. Vehicles! Now who said the television companies of the future aren't 
  18. generous?

  20. All you need to do is install the demo (we'll tell you how in a minute), 
  21. sit back and enjoy the guided tour, and then get psyched up big-time 
  22. before daring to step into one of the driving machines of the future. 
  23. Then the fun really starts! You've gotta race like the wind to catch the 
  24. slimeballs who dominate the highway, then shoot, ram, shunt and 
  25. crash them until they disappear into a cloud of supercharged explosive 
  26. vapour!

  29. wonderful Virtual Experience, but hey, you wouldn't want us to give 
  30. the whole show away now would you? The good news is you can get 
  31. the whole driving-by-the-seat-of-your-pants extravaganza at your local 
  32. computer software retailer, featuring 16 virtual racetracks, 8 
  33. supercharged enforcement vehicles, a multitude of hot soundtracks, 
  34. and over 20 minutes of commentary from the inimitable Lance Boyle!

  40. INSTALLING THE DEMO
  41.  
  42. To install MegaRace on your hard drive:
  43. 1.      Turn on your PC and your CD-ROM drive.
  44. 2.      Put the disc in your CD-ROM drive (usually D: ) label side 
  45. up.
  46. 3.      Type the command that logs to your drive. For example, type 
  47. D: and press Enter.
  48. 4.      Type INSTALL and press Enter.
  49. 5.      Follow the on screen instructions to finish the install.

  52. RUNNING THE PROGRAM
  53.  
  54. To run MegaRace from your C: drive:
  55. 1.      Type CD \MEGARACE and press Enter.
  56. 2.      Type MEGARACE and press Enter.

  59. STARTING THE RACE
  60.  
  61. After the introduction sequences you'll see the options screen, showing 
  62. 1 car, 7 empty car slots, and three large coloured buttons at the base of 
  63. the screen. You move between the car and the buttons with the cursor 
  64. keys. With the car highlighted, press the SPACE bar to see your car's 
  65. specifications, and press RETURN to start the race. View the other 
  66. options by highlighting the buttons and pressing RETURN - try them 
  67. and see what happens!

  114. some are bad, but you're gonna have to find out the hard way!
